On bread (and patisserie) alone

by Annalisa Merelli

Remember when we told you where to get the best sandwiches in Delhi? We are now going to share something as exciting: the source of the best French bread and patisserie in town.

It's called l'Opéra, it's run by a real French chef and though it doesn't have an outlet yet (one is coming soon in Khan Market), it delivers all sorts of goodness to your doorstep. They also stock at Nature's Basket, though not all the products on the menu are available there.

The bread is perfect, particularly the baguette which looks, tastes and feels exactly like a baguette does in France. We recommend you don't miss the croissants as well, the plain and almond ones are the best.

The menu is wide and everything that's on offer will probably make you very happy, so go on the website and place your order very soon. The only downside is they need at least one or two days notice to deliver, and they require pretty big orders (1000 rs minimum), but such good bread is totally worth a bit of forward planning.
