For those of you who don't know it, in a little less than a month Mysore will be hosting the first TED India conference.

If you are wondering what TED, is you probably need to spend a little more quality time on the Internet, but because today we are happy and sweet, here's a bit of information for you newbie.

TED - Technology, Entertainment, Design is an organisation devoted to "Ideas Worth Spreading" that started in 1984. It brings together some of the most creative, intelligent, passionate people in as many different fields as you can think of. These people meet, discuss, share ideas and stories with each other and with the audience of the conference.

TED has a website on which you can watch the videos of the talks that have been made during all the TED conferences. These video have been called "the best thing on the web, ever."

TED India will be held in Mysore from November 4th to 7th, with the title "The Future Beckons". The list of speakers is beyond exciting, and so are the topics that the program will cover.

Needless to say, The Balloon will be there.

We will head to Mysore, attend the conference, and share the highlights with you.
