If you think French food in Delhi is limited to microscopic sized portions at exorbitant prices, over the top presentations and sometimes even a strange fusion of "traditional"cuisine with Indian spices, you probably haven't been to P'tit bar yet.
P'tit Bar serves traditional rustic French food, which means, as the chef explains, "large portions of satisfying meals that are cooked like they were 100 years ago." The dishes are cooked slowly so that the flavors come out and it feels like you're eating a home cooked meal.
The menu at P'tit Bar is affordable and features everything from entrées to daily specials. The cheese platter is not to be missed, and if you are craving tenderloin you are in the right place too. Accompanied with a tangy pepper sauce, a heap of moist, buttery mashed potatoes and a tender mix of ratatouille vegetables, this dish won't let you unsatisfied.
If you are looking for french style home cooking, try the the baked fish & prawns in whiskey sauce: heaping piles of cheese baked over fresh seafood. One of our favourites, the large portion of seafood comes with buttery mashed potatoes and a generous vegetable side.
Leave space at the end of your meal for the fresh pie with apples and wine compote or the decadent fondant au chocolat. They are just as good as they sound.
One extra tip: the manager and chef is very attentive to his clients' feedback, and spends a lot of his time in the restaurant talking to patrons to make sure their experience is très bonne, so when you go for a visit, make sure you have a chat with the enthusiastic foodie and Frenchman.
