Fish curry? Ask the fisherman.

If you're in North Goa, move towards the beach at the Candolim church on the Kalangute-Candolim road, and, once there, keep your eyes open. You're looking for is the sign announcing you reached Fishermen's, Tony's for friends.

Tony's is by far the best place for local fish curry rice. Its fish/prawn curry with lady fingers is delicious, and tastes even better with rice, home made vegetables and pickles.

Fisherman's is the perfect all-day hang-out spot: I normally go there after a heavy night, get a massage on the beach, have a pint of King's beer, go for a swim and come back for lunch.

The place is available for small parties on the beach, with a special barbecue, which I recommend you try.

What I don't recommend, instead, is parasailing. When I tried it, the boat run out of diesel: I assure you, it wasn't as fun as it might sound. Hanging out at Tony's for an after lunch siesta would be a much better bet!

And, if you're very lucky, you might even meet Tony himself hanging out at his shack, although he's lately quite busy with all his new businesses all over Goa.
