A breakfast institution in Goa

by The India Tube

To those of you who enjoy big, fresh croissants: add Lila Café to the list of places to go for breakfast (or brunch) in Goa.

Just near Baga bridge, Lila Café is run by a couple that has been living in Goa for the past 20 years, and has become over the years a Goan institution. Eggs are good, coffee is even better but, as anyone - us included - will tell you, croissants are the winners.

These croissant are different from the crispy and flaky traditional French kind, yet just as butterly delicious. Soft and doughy, they are perfect both served sweet, with home made jam, or savoury, in one of the many tempting options offered in the menu.

A stop to Lila Café is ideal for the morning after a big partying night, especially since breakfast is served all day long, so no matter how late your morning begins, you can still show up there and count on a big croissant to restore your energies.
